DVI Extender, DVI Splitter, DVI Switch

SmartAVI DVI extenders can extend any DVI-I signal up to 500 ft with a single CAT5 cable while retaining a perfectly clear, crisp image resolution of up to 1600 x 1200 and up to 10km over fiber optics icluding keyboard, mouse and audio.

The DVX500 KVM extender is all about breaking away from the traditional model of attaching a new display to a DVI graphic source. Using the DVX500 KVM extender, you can remotely locate monitors, keyboards and mice up to 140 meters away from your CPU.

Wherever long distance usage is encountered, e.g. airports, industrial plants, call centers or in distributed computer centers, the DVX500 KVM extender is the best way to solve all your problems in remotely locating your console. Four different types of extenders are available: single head and dual head devices for PS2 keyboard/mouse and single head and dual head devices for USB keyboard/mouse.

A DVI CAT5 KVM extender is primarily used to extend the maximum distance between a CPU and its Keyboard / Monitor / Mouse. In addition, they are irrecoverable in installations in electromagnetic hazardous environments (EMI). Normal Keyboard-/ Monitor-/ Mouse extender cables (and extenders using traditional cables) cannot extend as far. EMI interferences may reduce the maximum distance and/or reliability. Using a DVX500 extender system, these limitations are nonexistent. Retain your CPU in a secure rack cabinet or data center while accessing from a 140m remotely accessible place.
