A video switch is a device that enables multiple sources such as computers, DVD players, and gaming consoles to share a single display or projector. Video switches are the most common and important entry point to the KVM environment because displays can be the most expensive part of any system and also tend to consume the most space and energy. Smart AVI's video switches are readily available to support component, composite, S-Video, VGA, DVI and HDMI video interfaces.
Video switches comes in many configurations ranging from a simple 2 port solution up to 16x16 DVI Switch with audio support and 3D compatible 8x8 HDMI Matrix Switch. Most of our video switch products feature front-panel push button controls, but more complex units also include RS232 control, infra red remote control, and TCP/IP access (extra equipment may be necessary) for control from a computer. All of the HDMI Switch units are High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) compliant so there are no issues with purchased media being displayed. SmartAVI’s video switches are in compliance with the respective regulatory bodies (CE, FCC, UL and RoHS).
